03 / QUALITY AND COMMERCIAL CONFIDENCE

Confidence backed by evidence.
Quality for export markets.

HACCP, BRCGS, laboratory testing and traceability: reference points for assessing food safety and the technical evidence behind each international purchase.

Documentation, validity and scope are confirmed by product, supplier facility and destination market before a transaction is agreed.

STANDARDS, CONTROLS AND REQUIREMENTS
HACCP

Preventive hazard management

A plan covering biological, chemical and physical hazards; critical control points where applicable, limits, monitoring, corrective actions and verification records.

BRCGS

Food safety standard

For transactions requiring BRCGS, request the facility certificate, product scope, certification body and validity. Certification applies to the audited facility and scope.

LABORATORY

Analytical evidence by batch

Define sampling and microbiological, physicochemical and residue tests appropriate to the product and destination. Request reports identifying the batch, method, date and acceptance criteria.

TRACEABILITY

From origin to dispatch

Link suppliers, raw materials, processing batches, packaging and dispatch through codes and records. Assess backward and forward tracing and product recall procedures.

SENASA

Product and destination requirements

Check official requirements for the product and importing country, and verify relevant authorisations, inspections and certificates. The applicable procedure depends on processing and product classification.

FDA

Requirements for the U.S. market

Verify registration of facilities subject to registration and applicable food safety, labelling, prior notice and import requirements. FDA registration is not product approval or quality certification.

PROCEDURES BASED ON EXPORT REFERENCES

A verification path, from origin to destination.

Criteria for assessing the process with the supplier facility and buyer. Each shipment requires a review of the relevant market regulations and specifications.

  1. Requirements and supplier

Define product, intended use, destination and specifications; review the facility, its documentation and the scope of required certifications.

  2. Receiving and selection

Check the identity, condition and handling of raw materials; record origin and batch and establish acceptance criteria.

  3. Preparation and freezing

Review good hygiene practices, process controls and the HACCP plan; document agreed preparation and freezing parameters.

  4. Sampling and batch review

Compare laboratory results and process records with specifications; document conformity and the handling of deviations.

  5. Packaging, labelling and cold chain

Verify food-contact packaging, batch identification, destination labelling and storage and transport records at the specified temperature.

  6. Documentation and dispatch

Review applicable commercial and sanitary documents, traceability records and logistics before confirming dispatch.

Request technical evidence for your purchase.

Technical data and specifications · batch test reports · traceability and cold-chain records · applicable certificates and authorisations, identifying holder, scope and validity.

Discuss quality documentation

Document availability is confirmed with the commercial team and supplier facility. These references alone do not establish Good Life certification.
